Our mission is to help participants unlock their full potential by offering a wide range of recreational and social opportunities throughout Mercer County. We believe in fostering personal growth, building strong relationships, and creating an inclusive environment where every individual can thrive.
Our services cater to not only the individuals with special needs but also their siblings and families, ensuring a holistic approach to support. From sports and social activities to community engagement, we strive to empower each person to achieve their personal best in all areas of life.

Our Mission
Our mission is to support families of children and young adults with special needs by providing affordable access to recreational sports programs, services, and resources. We are dedicated to fostering inclusivity and ensuring that every participant enjoys meaningful and valued life experiences.
Vision
Our vision at We Care Special Sports is to offer recreational activities, social skills support, and summer camp opportunities for eligible families at little to no cost, ensuring every child and young adult with special needs has access to enriching experiences
From Our Executive Director
For over 30 years, I have dedicated my life to working with the special needs community, collaborating with both private and public schools across Mercer County that offer special education programs.
In addition to my work with schools, I have partnered closely with respected non-profit organizations such as Special Olympics of NJ and POAC Autism Services. These experiences have reinforced my belief in the power of community service, giving back, and advocating for families and children with special needs.
Through my work, I’ve encountered many families who face heartbreaking barriers—whether it’s the lack of programs that accommodate their children’s needs, recreational facilities that won’t accept them, or the overwhelming costs of participation.
These challenges motivated me to create a solution: **We Care Special Sports**. This non-profit was born from my deep passion to ensure that all children and young adults, regardless of their abilities, have access to inclusive, affordable recreational programs.

Children will be involved in gymnastics,
swimming, dance, PT, OT, soccer, summer
camp and so much more.
Young Adults will receive enrichment services
that allow for the same access to recreational
and social skill sets, but also supports job
development skills, teach money management
which allow them to remain active and
participating members of the community. **We Care Special Sports** is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that depends on the generous support of donors who share our vision. For young adults, we provide enrichment services that not only focus on recreational and social skill-building but also offer job development training, money management, and life skills. These programs ensure they remain active, engaged, and contributing members of the community.
